On May 21, fifty brothers and sisters from Psi and EK loaded their vehicles with their instruments and headed to Fire Station 71. Every year, the fire station invites the community to a pancake breakfast fundraiser. Psi and EK members joined together as a pep band to perform two sets of stands tunes. While families received tours throughout the station, the two chapters provided the soundtrack to their day, and following each performance, there was an opportunity for children to take pictures with band members, with the station’s fire trucks as the backdrop.
After a jam-packed morning of performing and consuming unlimited pancakes, Psi and EK were publicly thanked by the Fire Department and given a certificate commemorating their continued service to the community. This service event was enriching for members and families alike, and it was a great way to bring the year to a close!
