This past November, Kappa Kappa Psi celebrated its annual Month of Musicianship. Music is something that is important to all of us and is central to our fraternity. The goal of the Month of Musicianship is to especially celebrate music and spread our love of music to others.
For our part, the Psi chapter celebrated music in two main ways. First, we had in-meeting performances every Monday in November in order to celebrate the musicianship of our brothers. The first performance we had was a rendition of the song “Rhythm of Love” by the Plain White T’s from brothers Christina Martin and Nathan Lam. Another was an incredible beatboxing flute performance by Sophia Inaba. In addition to holding performances in meetings, we spread our love for music outside our fraternity by attending music events on campus, such as Kyodo Taiko and the Guitar Chamber Ensemble. Attending these events allows us to connect with music performed by groups we are not normally involved with and support musicians on campus.
As part of the campaign for Month of Musicianship by the national organization, chapters were asked to share what they were doing for Month of Musicianship on social media using #MonthofMusicianship.
