Biography
I have blond hair, blue eyes, and am just under six feet tall. I love playing the clarinet and being in marching band, especially supporting UCLA teams. The clarinet section is the greatest (go ten minute hype)! I enjoy odd facts such as you only add an “e” to blond for girls.
Things I do too much: check baseball standings, think, worry, contemplate “what if” scenarios, wonder if I should actually change my talk (when it comes to academic stuff or how the tenth season and tenth anniversary are 2 different years)
Thing I do too little: enjoy the moment, talk (at parties or with someone who is awkward)
Things I worry about: grades, life, eventually having a job, eating healthy, being happy, not upsetting others, creating a smaller ecological footprint, looking stupid, worrying
Likes: learning, tutoring, free movies, living in Westwood and having most friends only living twenty minutes away, people who smile, sunsets, fresh air (which LA never truly has), naming the company when given their TV ad music (even though I dislike how our lives are sometimes influnced by media like this),bagpipes and kilts (because of high school band, lists, talking about connotations of words (even though I don’t know many), when people can name a bunch of historical events with years or trees and plants (even though classification and memorization are the lowest levels of knowledge)
Dislikes: onions, red meat, people who intentionally act like they know what they are talking about when they actually don’t, my perfectionistic tendencies, how networks all put on the same show once one of the type does well, when people mix up they’re and their or you’re and your (“Oh-oh-oh, and by the way, Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E means ‘you are.’ Y-O-U-R means ‘your!’” from The One with the Jellyfish), when I try to explain what I think is a good idea and it comes out like I’m preaching what people should do
Nicknames: Whitey, Lunchbox boy, Pattern boy, Blondie
I hope to, one day, see all the baseball parks in one year and then see all 81 dodger home games in another. I enjoy the rain and hope to live in Nor Cal, Oregon, or Washington someday.
I’m trying to realize that making a difference can take a second or a lifetime, it just matters what we focus on. It’s the small, everyday ones that get us through and we can only hope that our life’s work will make a lasting impact on society.
I wish that there could be a world where everyone cared about their home (Earth) and drove alternative energy cars, had green homes, less lawns, only grew food locally, etc. etc. I’m confused as to what’s the best way the help the environment but know that I want to. I have the need to change society in a positive way.
