Biography
People who have known me for a long time tend to ask me why I joined KKPsi. My answer was and always will be that I somehow saw it as having the potential to change me in ways I had never even thought possible. Even though I came into college a very serious, cautious, up-tight brainiac, being a brother of KKPsi is teaching me how to loosen up, take chances, and have fun with life. Brotherhood is forcing me to finally get out of my own head and love those who happen to be very different from myself. Oh yeah, and the whole service and leadership thing is showing me that I can learn valuable knowledge outside of what textbooks so inspiringly profess.
Some people will try to tell you that their fraternal family is the best. Well, mine actually IS the best, no kidding. My big brother James is my best friend in the entire world, my little brother Chris has taught me more about brotherhood than anyone, David is the most supportive and loving person I know, I’ve never met anyone more adorable than Heather, and Jason makes me so proud I could burst.
Oh yeah, and then there’s my roommates, who are also brothers. Hilary, Kendra, and Elena are a giant reason I am who I am. I love them more than anything in this world. I am truly lucky to have been able to spend my college years surrouded by such wonderful people.
Outside of KKPsi, I’m just a typical college student still figuring out how to balance the here and now with plans for the future (what exactly that is, I don’t know yet). Since becoming comfortable with myself, I have found that I have a stong affinity to ribbons of all kinds, an emotional attachment to Calvin and Hobbes comics, an instant liking of any and all things plaid, and an ever-present fascination with the human mind.
